This Project was in Mount Eliza Victoria & the character filled, tired old weather board home was desperately in need of some tender loving care.The kitchen end of the home had to be demolished & re-built due to severe termite damage. The remaining two storey part was re-stumped & had some bearers replaced also because of termites.Merbau decking has created the perfect outdoor entertainment area both in the backyard & above the new double garage…bringing in the beautiful bay views. Other features include the windows, doors, architraves, skirting-boards, bargeboards, merbau staircase & balustrading all handcrafted to blend in with the existing part of the house. The addition of the sitting room ( opening up onto the deck ) creates another indoor area suitable for entertaining guests, whilst the addition on the other end has a new laundry, bathroom & kitchen with granite benchtops & polished floor boards throughout….. thus completing the perfect renovation. This project threw abit of everything at us, it was challenging yet fun & rewarding……. We can truly say that this home has been brought back to life. |
